CD ripping en masse
7/22/03: Building an MP3 collection one CD at a time is easy enough, but what
if you want to rip and encode a large collection in a short time? One solution
is to box up your CDs and send them to Get Digital
in Indianapolis. The company is offering a new next-day ripping service that
can transform that stack of CDs into files in MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, or the codec
of your choice, at a variety of bit rates. The going rate is about $3 per CD.
If you're late getting into the MP3 game (and have more money than you have
time), this service could be a great way to catch up.
